It's a well known fact that I have issues. There are far too many to address in a short blog post but after years of therapy ... I can admit that I suffer from a wide range of them! One of my issues is noise. I find most noises ... well, annoying. Scraping the bottom of an ice cream bowl makes my eye twitch. Hearing a dog bark causes my heart to race. A nighttime cadence of chirping crickets unnerves me to the core. My solution ... other than locking myself in a padded room ... SOUND MACHINES! The world's most wonderful invention of soothing background noise. We have one in our room, our kids each have one in their room. It's a beautiful thing! In our room, we have a ceiling fan running, another table fan, a sound machine, a baby monitor that is also piping in the sound machine from the nursery. Silent night ... sleeping tight!
But one use I never considered for our sound machines ...
A soothing vibration for those weary teething gums ... I guess you do what you have to do when you have four teeth coming in at the same time!!
