They're Brown and Green and Sometimes Mean ...

Last week, while Ben was hunting down leprechauns in Ireland, Joshua and my mom went to the Dinosaur Museum.  Joshua requested that he wear a dinosaur shirt.  If you remember correctly, I am usually against adorning clothes with characters.  Characters should stay at their respective theme parks or on their television shows.  With that being said, I'm still not sure why we don't own a dinosaur shirt?  Perhaps I have this hidden hatred towards reptiles too?  I tried to convince him to wear a shark shirt (going with the whole leathery skin connection) but that didn't cut it.  So ... out came the box of felt and this is what he got:
Just like he wanted.  Brown and green and a "googly" eye.  Ahhh ... my days as a kindergarten teacher paid off.  (They were very numbered ... 6 months to be exact.  I couldn't hack all the nose blowing and whining).  Not bad, eh?  Plus, it covered up a nice red stain just left of the pocket!
Joshua was really trying to be brave ... but he wasn't digging the gigantic mammoth ...
He picked this up and my mom said, "Joshua, look at that huge tooth!"  And this ten year old volunteer said, "Um .. That's a claw."
And then he saw this ...
And did this.  For days he kept saying, "The dinosaur tried to scar me!"  And I would say,"What did you do?"  And he said, "Don't worry, Johnny.  Dinosaurs can't scar you.  They're ex-inc."
Hopefully he had a bit of success panning for gold.  I just fell in love with a new pair of shoes at Whole Foods (did you know they sold shoes there??) and could use a few gold nuggets!
Thanks for taking me, Bella!  I had the best time seeing the "dinosaurus!"

  1. So where is this museum? Someone else was just telling me about it, but I didn't catch the location. It looks so fun!

  2. How can so much talent come from one person? The shirt is too much. I would not have been able to do that in a million years. Those did look scary.
