A Carnival Party.

Our sweet Audrey Elizabeth is one!

The boys were super thoughtful and helped her open her first gift!

A pink horse ... that our little dare devil rides with her feet up in the air!

Pap Pap and the birthday girl played a fabulous selection of tunes while the rest of the crew tackled the party decorations ...
The theme was a carnival and it was so much fun to create!
We had candies and treats ... and fun cookie lollipops (that were so simple to make and so yummy!)
And the big brothers were there to set the mood ... nothing to serious, of course!
Well, maybe a little serious.  We dedicated Audrey Elizabeth on her first birthday.  Ben and I had decided we wanted to dedicate Audrey surrounded by family and friends that love our crew ... and were blessed to have a dear friend prayer over her.  Such a joy to share why we chose her name and the Bible verse that we pray for her ... a really special time and memory for our family.
Audrey had not one ... but two birthday cakes!  Her Cake (Ben's mom) made a fabulous number one cake for the birthday girl to eat until she could eat no more!
I think she rather enjoys the taste of that delicious sugar!
And then what I loved the most ... the "forced" dress up shots!  I might have slightly threatened the carnival attendees.  Maybe.  Or bribed?  I can't remember :)
And for Audrey's first birthday, my grandma and mom gave her ... her very first baby doll.
 She was instantly in love!
And hasn't let her eyes off of Baby Lucy since ...
Such a fun night ... for such a sweet (fearless, daring and mostly cheerful) girl!
