Starting off the big TURKEY day with a bit of synchronized milk drinking ...

Followed by our family tradition of Einstein bagels ...

And this cute face waiting for his FIRST Thanksgiving bagel ...

YUMMY!

And watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade ...

And apparently we have a lot to teach our kiddo about what type of feathered friend we eat on this day. "Mommy! Look! What kind of walking duck is that?" Silly Joshua ... it's not a duck ... it's a TURKEY!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Kate will be appalled the day she realizes that the turkeys we see walking around are the turkeys we eat. How she hasn't figured it out yet....
ReplyDeleteHappy Turkey Day. Next year, we're coming over for bagels.
Though I have figured out that turkeys aren't raised with the plastic shrink-wrapped to their bodies, I'm right there with the kids ... why can't we just raise animals to enjoy as pets? Unfortunately, I married into a family with very different views. Fear not, we won't invite Joshua (or Kate, for that matter!) to our someday-ranch on those fateful days ... of course I won't be there either! I'm certain there'll be something better suited for this city-not-quite-turned-country girl!
