I admit. I'm slightly competitive. When I played high school tennis and a girl, playing the net, pelted me with the ball ... I spent the rest of the match using her as target practice. I'd like to think I've grown since that time ... but I'm not so sure.
You see. The Cardinals lost in the Super Bowl. And I'm okay with that but I'm married to someone who is still insisting that we display
Steeler magnets on our fridge. "Ben at Work" ... "#1
Steelers" ... etc, etc. And that's cool ... they'll disappear someday :) But the competitive me (in the name of decorating of course) figured if we're incorporating gold and black into the downstairs decor ... we might as well add a few feathered friends who will stick around a bit longer.

They love their new home ...

And speaking of new ... we have had a bit of painting going on around here ...

I DIG a blue ceiling. And initials.

And a bunch of good looking, fake lemons (maybe they'd be more believable if I took the price tag off??). And a new slipcover for my chair. And silhouettes ...

And my new "office" ... complete with
unsharpened, yellow pencils.

And of course ... warmer temps mean it's time to plant a few spring goodies ...

With our favorite Bella ...

Lemons, anyone? (I figured I should really try and grow some real ones ... )

And to finish things off ... a nap, some covers and a good book!
I LOVE spring!!! (And yes, I realize ... technically, it's still February ... but around these parts ... this is about as spring as it gets!!)
I just took photos last night to do silhouettes like those! If mine don't turn out I'll have to seek you out for help. Love what you've done to the place.
ReplyDeleteLove your cute house! Can you come help me with mine?
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you found those pencils! :)
ReplyDeleteVery Cute!!! You are channeling Nie Nie (do you read her blog) BTW, we loved our time with you guys on Saturday...I just didn't think to include in my entry, mostly because there weren't photos! It was an oversight on my part!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so good. Your house is to die for. I love it. And how fun to garden with your mom. Your front porch is so inviting.
ReplyDeleteUm, now I'm even sadder that your not around to re-decorate my place. Cry me a river
ReplyDeleteYou have great taste. I love all the flowers too!

Mrs. Bost - do you know that I have the same calendar on my desk that you have in your very cute bathroom? Love Anthropologie! :)
