Deceiving.

I can leave a room with J How in the midst and not wonder what it will look like when I return. We did not investigate the world of door locks with Joshua. He never opened a cabinet. He never hunted for things that weren't plainly seen by the naked eye. He knew crayons were for paper and used them accordingly.

But our soon to be middle child ... takes life to a whole new level. The damage done by his hands in a matter of seconds is remarkable. He enjoys the concept of dumping, pulling, dragging ... he LOVES to create chaos. He believes cabinets are to be explored. Crayons looks so much cooler on walls. Drinks are fascinating when plunged off of the dinner table ... you get the idea.

Hard to believe such CRAZINESS can come from this face ...
Yesterday, I asked Ben what time he'd like to eat lunch. And then I canceled out that question and pleaded with a request. "How about in 10 minutes. Because if you don't come out and sit with us ... someone might not make it through the meal. I need a buffer."
He did make it through the meal ... barely. He also made it through today. With even less wiggle room. You see ... EBB has become a FULL BLOWN 2 year old. Joshua skipped past 2 and hit the "terribles" on his 3rd birthday. But EB ... he likes to be ahead of his time. Above, he's protesting going to the bathroom. "I not have to go potty." It's his favorite mantra. But this morning, he threw in a little something extra for me. A protest of sorts. Blocking the toilet. Taking a stand.
He's taking YEARS off my life. YEARS!

  2. Ahh, the power of little people. I'm sure those extra wrinkles will just make you look more 'wise' - one can only hope.
