Ain't No Mountain High Enough ...

We got to the park last weekend and as I took Joshua out of his stroller, one of our neighbors commented that he didn't even know Joshua could walk yet. From what followed next, I'm guessing Joshua was slightly offended by the walking comment. After all, Joshua is a perfect combination of Coleman and Bost and you know what that means ... a bit determined, a bit stubborn and a lot competitive!

He was the youngest kiddo at the park by a good year and a half but that did not stop him from snagging the other kid's trucks, standing at the base of the slide and getting plowed over, stealing some chips and yes ... even going for a beer! One kid even tapped me on the shoulder and said, "He has to get off of the slide. He can't just sit at the bottom!" "Right, sorry about that! I forgot to teach him all the rules ... I'll get right on that!" So let me get this straight ... the dad is impressed that my kid can even walk but the 3 year old thinks he should be an expert on park rules? Man ... it's a tough world out there :)
So ... here it is ... this big accomplishment of the afternoon! (I was a bit freaked out ... but definitely impressed! Especially when our firefighter neighbor commented on his excellent climbing technique!!)

  1. Oh that face--so proud of himself!!! I'd be a little scared too but that's because my kids, following in the tradition of their mama, are accident prone freakos. Joshua should be fine because we're not related ;)
