Joshua seems to find himself in this position quite often ... and he LOVES IT! He lands himself the coveted "only boy spot" in a sea full of women! Unfortunately, his "sea" really did contain a BUNCH of water and Mr. Distractability needed a lot of help in the focus department.
I told his swim instructor, Autumn, that the only hope I had of Joshua surviving in the water was if we could keep all toys and all women VERY FAR AWAY! We practiced water entries one day and you're supposed to count to three and jump in the pool. Okay, easy enough! "Joshua, one, two ... thr .... " I've lost him! His eyes gaze towards the cute girls sitting all around him ... "Hi!" Mind you, the cute girls are doing what cute girls do best ... paying no attention to the handsome, well-intentioned boy! I had almost given up on water entries but once all the girls were in the pool and Joshua had no one else to "woo" on the sidelines ... he was totally ready to make the plunge!
"Look everyone ... my mom can blow bubbles! If you think I'm sticking my face in this cold water, you're CRAZY!"
