Our Trip to San Clemente (That Happened Almost a Month Ago!)

Well ... there is a 50 foot cord running from our closet, into our bedroom, down the hallway and into the computer ... and the INTERNET is now working! I'm hoping this is a temporary fix but I won't be too picky!

Over Memorial Day weekend, we trekked over to California to celebrate Ben's parent's 35th wedding anniversary. We stayed in a gorgeous timeshare with our window overlooking the ocean and pier! I could live there! Anyone want to join me?

Joshua and me, (aka "Mum ... MEEEE!"), on the San Clemente pier.

The Bost Crew is attempting to stay warm! Thank goodness we ate right next to a heater!

The next day, we hit the beach! Joshua wasn't too sure about the sand and waves but that initial fear wore off soon enough. We couldn't drag the kid away! He kept saying, "No, no bye-bye!"

Joshua thought it would be a nice experience to become ONE WITH THE SAND!

Shortly after our walk to the beach, we were ready to have a Memorial Day BBQ. Friends of the Bosts came over and just as the food was ready to hit the grill, Ben's mom fell in the hallway and the paramedics were called. Patty broke her hip and was rushed to the hospital for surgery. (She just finished therapy the Friday before from the auto accident she was in 2 years ago!) We were all in shock! That is, everyone but Joshua. He woke up from his nap just in time to charm the firefighters and score himself and Jr. Firefighter badge and a new teddy bear! That's my kid! (Or should I say ... that's Ben's kid!!)

We spent two more days at the beach before we returned to the HOT DESERT and started our move! Talk about torture, going from a beach vacation to moving? Who planned that? Next time, I'm doing it the other way around!

Bye-Bye Beach! See you next summer!

  1. Nice maternity dress...

Looks like so much fun - except the falling and hip breaking part -
Joshua is truly a clone of Ben.
