I was making dinner last night and heard Joshua saying something about "Bandit Eli" ... umm, what? "Joshua, what did you say?" "Mom, I got Bandit Eli." I walked over to the dining room and sure enough ... Bandit Eli had been caught!
Joshua had seen enough of Eli's swiping and decided to take the law into his own hands. And like any good law enforcer, Joshua pushed all the chairs tightly underneath the table ... leaving no way of escape.
After Bandit Eli served several minutes of hard time ... Cowboy Joshua (as he called himself), went into the cell to discuss the upcoming release.
And this ... this was my favorite part of Bandit Eli's capture. Joshua is telling Eli all the things that I tell him ... "E-Why. You listen first time. You listen first time or you go time out. You sit in chair. You no talk." Hmmm ... interesting. He can repeat what I say (although I do add a few more parts of speech to my chats) and yet, it's the application to his own life that just seems ever so tricky! That's 2 1/2 for you!
In the end ... Bandit Eli was released for good behavior but I'm afraid to report ... Bandit Eli struck again this morning. Some habits are hard to break!

Look at it this way...at least the boys can entertain one another. And, you have an older one to think up ideas...even if he does put Eli in jail!
