We headed out today for a few errands. Returns, to be exact. Lots and lots of returns! I try to save up my returns and gear up for one MASSIVE trip. It's not a time for shopping and exploring .... just get in and get out.We were in the midst of returning something to a store and Joshua, who was standing by the register says "Hi" to the gal behind the counter. Someone was apparently having a rough day and gave no response. Trying to help his cause ... I chime in, "That's nice, Joshua. We do say HI to people." Still no response. Joshua pauses for a moment and blurts out, "Mom. I'm saying hi to the swamp creature. HI swamp creature!" I bit my tongue, hoping she hadn't really understood that he just called her a swamp creature and thinking if I say, "Joshua, we don't call people swamp creatures" it would just make matters worse.
Ahhh ... got to love him! You might just want to say hi to J How when you see him ... otherwise, you too, might be a SWAMP CREATURE!
Well, she didn't answer him. Mean swamp creature!
ReplyDeleteWhen bella was a child, she watched Swamp Fox on Disney... man, did she love the Swamp Fox ! Therefore, it's perfectly normal for JHow to love the Swamp Fox's next of kin.... Swamp Creature!!!
