We Interrupt this Blog Update for a Weather Report ... LOTS OF SHOWERS!

My dear friend Michelle is getting married in January ... a SHORT ten weeks after BB #2 (EBB) makes his grand entrance into the world. I have already purchased a VERY tiny pair of Spanks (sp??) and while I'm not sure I'll be able to breathe by the end of the reception ... there will be no bulges to be seen!
It actually is a wonder that anyone showed up at the shower ... you see ... with my pregnant brain in full working order, I put the completely WRONG address on the invitations! Yes ... a fine moment in my party planning life. Thankfully, the gal whose address was mistakenly put on the invitation never received an invitation (until I made a brand new one for her later). Probably a good thing since she might have been a bit surprised to find out she was hosting the shower! (For more shower photos ... go to www.mywedding.com/fortin and click on photo gallery).

Belinda, Michelle (Bride-To-Be), Katrina and Hadleigh ... Katrina's daughter

Grandma Elizabeth, Melanie (Michelle's mom) and Michelle

I had no part in this portion of the shower but aren't those flowers GORGEOUS!

And then ... with the arrival of Baby Bost #2 quickly approaching ... some fun baby showers were in the forecast!

Tracy, Melinda and ME with a VERY yummy cake! I taught with Tracy and Melinda 2 years ago at Aprende ...

And ... another FUN evening ... my BIRTH DAY party! Celebrating my 30th birthday (back in July) and the upcoming birthday of EBB!

We went to Cafe Boa in Tempe ... lets just say it's been awhile since I have ventured to Mill Avenue on a Friday night. It's a WHOLE new world out there and one filled with VERY few 9 month pregnant women! It's more filled with tiny girls, wearing tiny dresses ... I totally fit in!

GIRL'S NIGHT OUT! Lindsey, Mikele, ME, Astraea, Faith and Kristin

Mikele completely outdid herself ... love the party favors and the poem on the bag was fantastic!

Here is our waiter ... bringing the entire box of saran wrap out to our table to wrap up the leftover cake. I think he felt bad that his manager was going to charge a $25 cake cutting fee ... so he thought he'd make it up to us by showing off his cake wrapping skills. He did a great job because I have devoured the remains of the cake ... without any help ... and it was completely moist ... several days later!

(Okay ... since I don't want anyone else to be experiencing the effects of nausea when they read I ate the rest of the cake ... Ben ate 1 piece and I ate 3 :) I did actually sacrifice a bit of the chocolate DREAM to the trashcan just so I would no longer be tempted! Let's not forget ... I only have 9 more days of this pregnant gig ... a girl has to eat!!)

  1. I can't believe you ate the whole other half of the cake... I don't know whether to be impressed or nauseated.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Birth Day shower. We are way too old for Mill, dangit.
