I took Joshua and Eli to the doctor today ... J How had his two year appointment and Eli had his two month appointment. Eli was dressed for the occasion with a easy to remove, matching outfit and shoes. J How, on the other hand, was a sight to see. The majority of his outfit was nothing exceptional ... but then came the SOCKS! He "stole" a pair of very colorful, fuzzy socks from his Grammy this morning and WOULD NOT TAKE THEM OFF! Not only would he not take them off but he wanted them to be worn like the fashionable leg warmers from our favorite decade ... the 1980's. The best look was really when his pants had been removed and he was running up and down the hallway at the doctor's office with just his t-shirt and crazy socks pulled up to his thighs. And yes, I was kicking myself that I left my camera at home!
But so you don't totally feel left out ... I went in his room to check on him just now and this is what I found:
He was talking for an hour after I put him to bed and I am so curious what he and his stuffed friends were chatting about??? And really, I'm much more curious as to where he got this other fuzzy sock? Does he have a stash?
His two year update ... STILL UNDER 30 pounds! He barely made it to 27 pounds and that was with all his clothes, fuzzy socks and a rather full diaper. What a munchkin!
As for Eli ... he weighs in at 11.4 pounds and 22.75 inches. At this rate, he'll pass up J How in a few months!
What a great mommy letting him dress himself. Pick your battles a certain Nanny always told me. Love seeing those healthy boys :)
