Thanksgiving Day 2009

The weather in southern CA was gorgeous! A little too gorgeous for my taste (I think it was cooler in PHX that weekend) ... but it was warm enough to be outside and play with bubbles and go shoeless! A dream for Joshua!
And after some bubble fun ... it was off to stuff the turkey. And get a great anatomy lesson. But J How is resilient and was actually unmoved by the gizzard and the explanation of its contents. I, on the other hand, asked that the turkey prep conversation be kept to words like "stuffing" and "gobble gobble" ... and to save questions like "Where is his head?" for Thanksgivings when he's above the age of ten :)
And while the headless turkey cooked and cooked ... we gave a family photo another shot! I think the hanging your children upside down is a most effective way to achieve a great smile!
Gobble, gobble! The turkey master showing us his carving skills ...
And a Thanksgiving first ... a lovely dinner outside! I think it should start a new tradition because it was FABULOUS!

  1. That weather is making me want to cry a little. It's a big blizzard here. Neat. Your boys are seriously beautiful. Can't wait to see what picture you choose.

  3. We had a costco chicken and p.pie and few leftovers, ate inside, and had no photo sessions ! Next year maybe I'll join you... or will you be doing your own turkey stuff here in Phx in 2010??? Hard to keep track !
