The other night, I was doing dishes. One of my absolute favorite nightly activities. You can imagine how torn I was when my children called to me from downstairs and BEGGED for my presence. "QUICK! It's a surprise!"
"What is it?"
"HAPPY HALLOWEEN! It's a Halloween party."
"Of course it is. What do you do at a Halloween party?"
"You dress up and then ... are you ready for this ... YOU RACE!"
And really ... who would rather do dishes when you get an invitation to dress up and race! So ... the crew commenced to finding their outfits ...

The fireman/construction worker really prefers to have a bit of clothing freedom from the waist down.

J How was a conductor/firefighter and I ... was given puppy dog ears.

And told to put the puppy ears back on and stop taking pictures!
Hmm.

The race was paused for a brief moment to find a balloon because in the words of How, "You can't have a party without a balloon." Good thing we went to the
cow restaurant earlier and had a few extras around the house.

Ben was brought in as our knight ... or resident "Try to Tackle the Kids with the Shield as They Come Flying Around the Corner" guy ...

And ... you guessed it ... there was A LOT of racing.

Made for a pretty fun evening. WAY better than doing dishes ....
