Oh A Hunting We Will Go.

The boys could hardly contain themselves on Easter morning. We had talked about how the Easter bunny sneaks around the house after everyone is asleep ... leaving a basket of goodies and lots of eggs to find.
I gave the kids the hunting rules ... and they were off ... to gather all the little plastic pieces their hearts desired and their hands could reach. And they were looking for something extra special. A giant egg that they could trade in for a very special treat.
Eli found his giant egg first ... and declared that he was all done hunting. I'm pretty sure he noticed that his eggs contained CHOCOLATE and he could hardly wait another second to sink his teeth in ...
Joshua ... on the other hand ... was in it to win it. High ... low ... he spotted them all!
Except his giant egg that swiper (um ... Eli) had taken. See that look ... he wasn't too happy about the "only one big egg rule" ...
But he recovered quickly after the bunny delivered the game he's been talking about for TWO MONTHS straight ... Lightening McQueen ... NINJA KNOCKOUT.
And How ... he got a remote controlled Monster Jam truck ...
Then it was off to church ...
And after church ... another hunt.
And candy stashing.
And loot opening.
And looking before crossing the parking lot (from the non-rule following child!!) ...
And belly viewing ... or is that blocking the shot Ben really wanted of Joshua ... and to think I have 9 more weeks of growth ...
Then it was off to test out the new car ...
And discover that this one had snuck into the house ... pushed a stool up to the countertop and swiped the malted eggs off the counter. He did confess that he only had "oh ... like seben" ...
And with all that sugar inside of him ... he wandered down the street to get a lesson in RC cars from the now resident expert ...
Who shows his extreme concentration with the "tongue out" move ...
A bit of resting ... and I do believe E is still eating candy ...
Bunny mask wearing ...
And a lovely ... family photo ...
If I only had a picture of Ben to share right now when he was little ... Joshua couldn't look more like him in this picture he tried ...
There was Easter egg dying and Easter feast eating ... but those pics are on another camera ... so just when you thought I was done ... there will be more to come!!
