Day 2. The Bridesmaids.

The dresses were on clearance at J. Crew. Apparently, salmon was not a hot color in the spring of 2003. I never envisioned salmon dresses in my wedding ... I always thought I'd go more of the blue route. Like the shoes. Blue flip-flops. I had bought those at J. Crew a few months earlier ... and what's a girl to do when she gets blue flip-flops and salmon dresses ... both on clearance? Sew salmon flowers to the shoes to make it all work :)
I obviously went very wrong when I thought shawls would be a good idea ... for one, my mother almost didn't speak to me for weeks since she had the grand pleasure of sewing all those puppies together. From what I hear, it was a bit of a slippery job ...
And ...
Well ... let's just say it was a bit hard for the five of them to focus with such FUN at their fingertips ...
But who could blame them?? Okay. Maybe I blamed them once ... as I was having a nervous breakdown in the sanctuary. But every bride has to have her moment of "losing it" ... right?
From bottom left to right ... Jenn (Ben's sister, Michelle, Emelye (expecting their first baby .. a girl in August, Amy K ... expecting their first baby ... they find out on Thursday the sex ... in September, Janna ... now a mom of three and Angie ... mom to the cutest twins around!)

  2. Wait - why am I the only one making a face in that picture? That's what you get for making us stand still and smile for too long. ;)
