Changed my ways. Decided that not every room of the house needs to look like it came out of Cottage Living magazine. But that would be a lie. I succumbed to the primary colored world of 50% polyester/50% cotton Thomas Sheets because ... 1. They can be covered up with a chambray duvet cover and 2 ...
Joshua is learning how to make his bed ... and I figured ... why not learn this tedious, life-long chore with something a little zippier than your boring white sheet! And while it gave my heart a little shock to see them again this morning, Joshua had his bed made in no time and I was a very happy mom!** And as a side note ... it's not that my house actually looks like a Cottage Living house ... there is far too much clutter and not enough cleaning going on over here for that to realistically happen! At least for the next 18 years ... while BOYS inhabit my house!
I still don't know how to make my bed...maybe I need some Cinderella sheets?
ReplyDeleteYears from now you probably won't need counseling over the Thomas sheets. But yeah, I commend you. I'm in the same boat with the character stuff. My mom doesn't understand why she can't buy them elmo clothing. I said she could bend the rules with pj's!
